Supplying: annealed

This grade of steel is used for extrusion dies. It is good for forging and responds well to heat treatment. It’s particular resistance to repeated cycles of heating and cooling and to the erosive action of the stamp material. It retains dimensional quality during heat treatment. It can be hardened superficially through nitriding. It’s suitable for the construction of dies for pressure die-casting, dies for forging. It is also used for the construction of dies for pressure die-casting in alloy with aluminum, for containers, punches and heat matrixes, blades for hot shears, matrixes and extrusion mandrels.
